1. Played a lead role in turning the Project VALHALLA from the initial planning phase to execution & then to live operations.
2. Foundation course in HACCP from Advanced Food Safety (UK).
3. Thistle hotels CHEF OF THE YEAR runners up.
4. Achieved record sales for Shamiana with Gross sales exceeding the Budgeted by Rs 60 lakhs i.e. 75000£ approx for the year 2005-06 at 78% GP.
5. Voted the Best project –planning a 100-cover continental kitchen & restaurant for the Taj Group of Hotels
6. Worked as the youngest sous chef At The Taj Mahal Hotel,Mumbai.

Chef Shantanu Gupte

Chef Shantanu Gupte came to AURO UNIVERSITY (where i study) as a judge for a national level competition, National Budding Chef's Competition (NBCC). He interacted with every participant and made them comfortable as they were nervous..He cracked jokes, made them laugh, talked to them, and sometimes also prasied them...At once he acted as a friend...and on the other hand, he was a teacher, a mentor, a guide too...

He judged ever dish, every cake..and he pointed out mistakes..but he also pointed out the best point of it, which motivated everyove.. His calmness and the way of presenting his knowledge, impressed everyone..Chef Shantanu Gupte is a "down-to-earth" type of person...no arrogance, no show off!! He treated every student as his student..Infact when i was visiting with him at every station, carrying a salver in one hand, that had spoons and forks. tissues and water for tasting, he turned to me, took water, and told me 'are baccha dont stand like this..keep it at one place' and smiled at me,,then he behaved with me as if he knew me..like a friend!!

He was in a hurry to catch a flight..so after judging he was going to leave,,one of the participants asked him if he can take a picture with him..he said yes..i too took courage and asked him(as i am a shy person 😅😅)..even though he was in a hurry..he gave his few minutes to us...I wanted to talk to him regarding my career and some knowledge..But Chef was getting late..I would love to talk to him once I my life...Maybe next time for sure 😛
