FRIENDS

What Is Friendship??

Friendship is not word..It's a feeling or a relationship between two people who cares about each other. I know it's such a dry and dull definition.. A friend is the first person who comes in your mind when you wanna share a good news, when you wanna share about your new crush, or do bitching about the one you both hate. A friend is the one you go to when you have a fight with your family. He/She is the one who offers you a shoulder when you brake up with your boyfriend/girlfriend. A friend do minds you not giving them time because of your partner, but they still stay by your side because they know, at last you're gonna be together. A friend will accompany you on the most boring of errands and make them seem fun.

In other words, Friendship is a wonderful feeling. It's like a Bollywood Film, filled with emotions, drama, tears, love, affection, etc. etc. Although it doesn't have slow motion scenes or background songs in it.😆 Friendship is love, without intimacy. It's the purest thing a person can ever get.

It's not to say that friendship is easy. It takes time, efforts, and it sometimes demands to put someone else before you. But in exchange of that, your friend can give you tons of memories, immense love, and support you like a sibling in your good as well as bad times. A true friend will always be harsh and show your mistakes in front of you, and be supportive and behave like a 'big brother' at your back..

Many qualities are necessary for a good friendship, including honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty and unconditional acceptance. A friendship should make both people in the relationship happy; both people should have fun when they spend time together.

Human beings can clash very easily, which is why it's hard for some people to maintain many friendships. It's possible that friendship can exist between two people at one stage of life, but life changes and personal growth may make friendship impossible at another stage. It can be hard to meet the people who would make the perfect friend. So if you find a friend who is as weird and mad as you are..never let them go..

Pop culture often reflects what our society thinks about friends. In recent years, the concept of bromance, or a close friendship between two men, has taken center stage in a popular TV series such as "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" and movies such as "I Love You, Man." Male friendships, if these examples are any indication, include everything from playing video games to listening to music to talking about girls.

"Sex and the City" is often cited for its influence on female friendships. The long-running television show and subsequent movies depict female friends shopping, drinking their 'Cosmopolitians, Manhattans and Martinis' and gossiping together about life.

'The Soulmates' from 'The Sex and the City'
Opposite-sex friendship, or friendship between a male and a female, is a bit trickier for our society; thanks largely to the film "When Harry Met Sally," and again the TV series such as "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" "Big Bang Theory" or "How I Met Your Mother" people tend to think that sex will elevate a friendship to a romance. But as 'Rachel and Joey, Pheobe and Ross, or Chandler and Rachel' (from the TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S) showed their immense love and effection towards each other without any sort of intimacy.

But for many reason, opposite-sex friendship is usually depicted on-screen between a heterosexual woman and a gay man, such as on the show "Will & Grace." Because sex is off the table, people will buy in to the idea that these two people can be there for one another as friends.
